Cloud-computing Route Optimization
PowerOpt leverages cloud-based large-scale parallel computing power, automatically examining enormous numbers of routing alternatives to find the lowest cost route plan. The system is designed as an easy-to-access web-based service for rapid integration into existing systems and processes without the traditional hassles or disruptions associated with new software system deployment. This design also allows the optimization engine to be continuously improved by Scientific Logistics in ways that are transparent to end users.
PowerOpt is designed to plug into existing interactive route planning and dispatching systems, supplementing these systems with a high powered "black box" route optimization engine. PowerOpt can also be used as a standalone route optimization engine, managed through the PowerOpt web portal.
